The Pinecil case came first. Once I had an iron I enjoyed using, I used it more, and the smoke stopped being something I could wave away.
Most bench extractors assume a bench. Mine assumes a DeWalt pack, so it goes where the work is instead of tying me to an outlet.
Where this sits
I could not solder at all a few years ago. I learned at work, built a case for the iron, built this once the fumes became the problem, and then took on a split keyboard with a few hundred joints in it.
